Welcome!

Oltman Middle School serves students in sixth through eighth grades and is part of South Washington County Schools. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum with an emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and career and college readiness.

Each grade is divided into "houses" with one group of students working with one group of teachers throughout the school year. These teachers work as a team to help every student succeed. All students take an advisory class focused on character, relationship building, empathy, goal setting and academic success.

Oltman Middle School is an Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) National Demonstration School. The AVID program helps students develop organizational skills and study habits so they can be successful students.

Technology is an important part of learning at Oltman Middle School. Each student receives an iPad and access to personalized online learning software.

Along with academics, there are many extracurricular opportunities at Oltman including athletics, fine arts, robotics and service-learning clubs. In 2018, Oltman Middle School opened a new school designed around the way today’s students learn, with collaborative and flexible learning space.
