As a service to our community, this space is for SoWashCo Community Education and non-profit groups to share special events, programs and activities.

SoWashCo Community Education Activities Flyers 

SoWashCo Community Education offers quality education, enrichment and athletic opportunities for all ages. These programs provide participants with opportunities to pursue their interests, expand their abilities and improve social skills in a fun and safe environment. To see our full list of offerings visit sowashco.ce.eleyo.com.

SoWashCo Community Education partners may send flyer distribution requests to flyers@sowashco.org. Requests must be for a current or upcoming SoWashCo Community Education activity or class. Please include the link to the class in Eleyo and a PDF flyer.

Pajama Jam! Screen-Free Week Kick-Off Dance, May 2 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Lake Middle School

Screen-Free Week is almost here! Schools, libraries, communities and families around the world have organized events designed to help children turn off screens in order to connect with family, friends, nature and their own creativity.

SoWashCo CARES May Mixer, May 2

SoWashCo CARES Education Foundation is kicking off a dedicated scholarship fund for SoWashCo Schools, and we need YOU to help make it happen!

  • Date and time: May 2 from 7-10:30 p.m. 
  • Location: VFW in Cottage Grove
  • Ticket price: $35 per person

Put on your dancing shoes (or just come to listen!) as Basic & Boring—a cover band featuring six talented students from our community—rock the night away! Enjoy great music, good company, and a chance to make a real impact.

All proceeds support the new SoWashCo CARES Scholarship Fund.

Basic Needs Family Bingo Nights

Our energetic Bingo host will lead you through countless rounds of the timeless game, and you won't believe the massive rewards up for grabs. All are welcome. So buckle up for a thrilling ride of non-stop fun!

Spring 2025 PeeWee Sports and Youth Tennis Lessons

Pee Wee Sports

Participants will learn the basic skills through fun drills and games. Pee Wee sports promotes sportsmanship, physical activity and peer interaction in a team atmosphere.

Tennis

All lessons meet two times a week for three weeks, except Saturday lessons. Little and Big Shots classes are 45 minutes, all others are 60 minutes.

Dodge Nature Center Pride Outside

Come to Dodge Nature Center to explore the changing seasons, learn something new in nature, and grow into your unique self in the outdoors. You’ll find an affirming community that welcomes students just as they are.

Pride Outside is an after-school program for 5th-12th grade youth, of any sexual or gender identity, and LGBTQIA+ allies.

  • All boys and girls in grades K-5 are invited to join Cub Scouts
  • Adventure field trips, camping, family outings, games with friends, outdoor fun and year-round excitement!
  • Annual registration fee is $205
  • Scholarships are available
  • Every registered scout receives a FREE t-shirt (must be registered with a Northern Star Scouting Cub Scout Pack by Oct. 31 to be guaranteed a t-shirt).
